As such, he rigorously promoted the need to protect intellectual property rights and strived for the establishment of patent law in China. In 1984, the State Council of People’s Republic of China approved Dr. Wong to incorporate China Patent Agency (H.K.) Ltd., an unprecedented Hong Kong-based patent agency, to provide intellectual property services to clients in China and abroad. Today, China Patent Agency employs over 500 staff and has offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, New York, Tokyo, and Munich.
